Tanya Time Book Club is heading to Marrakech for our next unforgettable adventure. This is more than just a trip; it's a celebration of books, culture, and community. We’ll explore the city’s rich history with a guided tour through its most iconic spots. Expect delicious rooftop meals, time to wander the vibrant souks, and space to connect with local traditions.

One of the highlights will be our signature Book Salon, featuring an intimate evening with a guest author over good food and great conversation. We’ll also journey into the desert for a relaxing escape surrounded by golden landscapes, cozy moments, and dinner under the stars.

The experience wraps with a beautiful farewell evening and time to reflect with your fellow book besties. Come ready for connection, culture, and a little bit of magic.

Important Travel Information

Flights NOT Included: Please note that international or local flights are not included in this package price


Passport Validity: Passports must have a validity of a minimum of 6 months after intended date of departure and must have a minimum of 3 free pages for visa stamps


Is a Visa Needed for Morocco: American passport holders do not need a tourist visa for entry into Morocco for a stay of up to 90 days and should hold proof of onward or return flights to apply visa free visit for this travel period. For all other passport holder, visit the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco website for the most current visa information.


Vaccinations  

No Vaccination are required as mandatory for travel to Morocco. However, vaccinations for Hepatitis A and Typhoid are recommended for travellers going to Morocco. We advise that you visit your local travel clinic for more information on these vaccinations. 


Currency Restrictions for Entry & Exit:

You are required to declare large quantities of cash upon entry in Morocco. The export of Moroccan currency is prohibited.


Mandatory Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance is mandatory for all trips with Enroute54. Travelers will need to purchase appropriate travel insurance cover before travelling. Please ensure that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance which will cover all overseas medical costs, including medical repatriation/evacuation, etc., and also cover the full cost of your trip, flights and any overstay/additional expense due to incident or illness, etc. that may arise.


Comprehensive Travel Guide: A comprehensive travel guide brochure with detailed information on what to expect and everything there is to know about travelling to Morocco will be shared with all confirmed travellers ahead of the trip.

Arrival in Marrakech & Welcome Dinner

Welcome to Marrakech! A city full of color, culture, and energy!


Upon arriving in Marrakech, you’ll be warmly greeted at the airport and assisted with private transfers to your hotel. Our team will be on hand to help with check-in and make sure you’re comfortably settled into your room. The rest of the afternoon is yours; take some time to relax, freshen up, or enjoy your first taste of Marrakech at your own pace. As evening falls, we’ll come together for our first evening as a group with a welcome dinner an amazing restaurant; a stunning venue just outside the city, known for its ambiance and lively entertainment. Expect a beautiful setting, a flavorful dinner, and a show that brings the energy of Marrakech to life!

Marrakech City History & Traditional Food Tasting

Today, we’ll head out to explore the heart of Marrakech with our local guide, who’ll walk us through the city’s rich history, unique architecture, and vibrant culture.

We’ll make our way through some of Marrakech’s most iconic spots; starting with a stop by the Koutoubia Mosque, followed by the stunning Bahia Palace, and the lush, colorful Majorelle Garden, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent. We'll also visit the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, a beautifully curated space where fashion, art, and Moroccan design come together. At midday, we’ll take a break for lunch at a spot in the medina known for its traditional Moroccan flavors and warm, welcoming vibe. After lunch, we’ll head back to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours; whether you want to relax, wander the city a bit more, or find a rooftop for dinner and take in the view.

Free Day & Author Book Salon

On this day, you’ll have the morning and afternoon free to do your own thing. Sleep in, explore a bit more of Marrakech, grab a mint tea at a café, or just relax at the hotel and recharge. Later in the evening, we’ll head out together to a cozy, beautifully designed spot that feels like a hidden gem. Think lush decor, and a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. This is where our Book Salon takes place; a special evening centered around conversation, connection, and of course, books. We’ll share a delicious dinner, hear from a guest author during an intimate reading session, and have time to mingle and connect with each other in a space that feels relaxed.

Optional activity to book in the morning: Hot air balloon experience.

Guided Souk Visit

Today we’ll head into the heart of the medina for a guided tour of the souks, led by a local expert who’ll help make sense of the maze. Along the way, you'll get insight into the layout, history, and cultural importance of these markets and maybe even learn how to spot a good deal. You’ll have time to shop directly from local artisans; from textiles and ceramics to spices and handmade goods. Whether you’re hunting for something special or just taking it all in, it’s a great way to experience the daily rhythm of Marrakech. We’ll break for lunch at Atay Café, a chill rooftop spot with great views over the medina and a solid Moroccan dishes.

Agafay Desert Experience

We’ll head out late morning for a day in the Agafay Desert, just outside of Marrakech. It’s not the Sahara, but the wide open landscape, rocky dunes, and golden light make it just as special in its own way. Once we arrive at the desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with canapés and a drink to settle in. The setting is beautiful; think open skies, cozy lounge areas, and a perfect mix of comfort and nature. Lunch is on your own today, with a few options available at the camp depending on what you’re in the mood for.

Later In the afternoon, we’ll jump into the fun part; camel rides and quad biking across the desert terrain(Optional add-on activity to book). After that, you’ll have some free time to hang out, take photos, relax, or just enjoy the space. After some free time back at the camp, we’ll come together in the evening for dinner with live entertainment. A great way to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere before we head back to the city.

Free Day | Self-Care Day

You’ve got the day completely to yourself. Sleep in, take it slow or just hang out and enjoy the energy of the city. If you’re in the mood to treat yourself, you can book an optional spa experience at one of Marrakech’s most beautiful wellness spaces. The signature package includes your choice of three treatments like a traditional hammam, mud, massage, facial, or bath. It’s the perfect way to unwind and reset. This is also the perfect time for any last-minute shopping, picking up gifts or artifacts you’ve had your eye on. No schedule, no pressure. Just a day to do you!

Farewell & Departure

As our trip comes to a close, our team will be on hand to assist with your departure preparations, ensuring that all check-out procedures run smoothly and that you're comfortably transferred to the airport, making your departure as seamless as your arrival. With farewells shared and hearts full, you’ll board your flights, taking with you the spirit of Morocco and memories with friends and family to cherish forever!
