The CBS Africa Business Club invites you to experience South Africa through an exciting journey across Johannesburg and Cape Town!

From exploring the country’s dynamic business landscape and rich history to experiencing Cape Town’s breathtaking scenery, vibrant culture and renowned cuisine, this trek offers a well-rounded introduction to the Rainbow Nation. Each day brings an opportunity to connect, learn and experience a different side of South Africa.

Touch down in the vibrant city of Johannesburg at O.R.Tambo airport, after which you will be transferred to our cosy, city-centre 4* star hotel where you can take some time to relax, recover or explore independently. This first evening will be free to accommodate all guest arrival times.

Today, we dive into the rich and profound history of Johannesburg with a city tour that includes striking street art and the thought-provoking exhibits at the Apartheid Museum. Afterwards, we head into Soweto guided by locals from the townships, and stopping at iconic landmarks like the Hector Pieterson Museum and Nelson Mandela's Home. We will take a walk down Vilhakazi Street, with its buzzing street performers and crafts market, where we will have a tasty traditional lunch before returning to the hotel. In the evening, prepare to indulge in a delightful welcome dinner where we continue getting to know each other and mark the beginning of our time in the rainbow nation! 

This day marks a shift in pace as you move from the city into nature. An early departure from Johannesburg takes us towards the Pilanesberg National Park where a world of wildlife awaits.

We arrive at the Pilanesberg National Park entry gate to begin our exhilarating game drives -- home to over 7,000 animals including the Big 5. This safari experience includes both a morning & afternoon game drive, with a buffet lunch stop in between. In the late afternoon, we wrap up our day of wildlife-spotting and begin our return transfer to Johannesburg.

Say goodbye to Johannesburg as we catch a morning group flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town, we'll be met by the ground host and transferred to our 4-star hotel right in heart of the Central Business District. You will be within close proximity to the vibrant Long Street & Kloof Street. You will have the afternoon free to relax, unwind or explore independently before we meet up again for our group's welcome dinner, promising a fun-filled evening with an interactive South African cultural dinner experience.

Start the day off in the heart of Cape Town with a guided city tour that takes you to the famous colorful neighbourhood of Bo-Kaap and shares historical highlights of the city. We take a quick break for lunch [on own], before meeting up again for the second half of the day. In the afternoon, we board the iconic cable car [via fast-track access to skip the long queues] to ascend the grand Table Mountain and enjoy truly breathtaking scenery of the city, including views of Lions Head and Camps Bay! Weather permitting, the group can choose to stay and experience a magnificent sunset with an optional drink in hand, before heading back to ground level for our return transfer to the hotel and a free evening.

Today is a free day for you to experience Cape Town in your own way. With no scheduled group activities, you have the flexibility to slow things down and unwind or book one of our exciting add-on activities to enhance your experience in the Mother City.

1. Atlantic Dunes Quad biking - a thrilling guided quad biking adventure across vast white sand dunes just outside of central Cape Town
2. Chapman’s Peak & Cape Peninsula Experience -  a stunning drive along the Cape Peninsula boasting dramatic coastal scenery – with stops in Simon’s Town and a visit to the famous Boulders Beach to see the African penguins.

Today, we're off for an opulent and sophisticated day of wine-tasting, cheese boards, chocolate pairings and vineyard visits! We head to the small town of Franschhoek in the Western Cape Province which boasts centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture! Explore our specially curated wine farms -- starting with stunning world-renowned interiors & award-winning wines at our first stop, a delightful culinary experience and private cellar tour at our second stop, and an intimate final stop hosted at a generational family-run vineyard.

To close off an unforgettable trip, we head to the scenic Camps Bays seaside for a farewell sunset dinner and a celebratory toast to crown our experience here in South Africa.

All too soon, we come to the last day of our South African travels. Make the most of your last day by grabbing any last-minute souvenirs before your transfer to the airport [on own] for your departure flight. Farewell, and we hope to welcome you back to the continent again!

Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after intended date of departure and must have a minimum of 3 free pages for visa stamps. 

Is a Visa needed to enter South Africa?: Travelers must check the list of visa exempt countries to see if they need to apply for visas or are visa exempt if visiting SA for a period of 30 days or less. If your country is not listed, it means you will need to apply for a visa. Travellers who require a visa may apply for an E-visa through the official South African E-visa portal, OR apply through the South African embassy or consulate responsible for their place of residence.

Yellow fever vaccination certificate is needed for South Africa: A Yellow fever vaccination is required on arrival into South Africa for travelers aged 9 months and older, if they are travelling through or from a yellow-fever risk country. The vaccination requirement is for the protection against yellow fever, and you could be denied entry without it. Travelers need to ensure that they are vaccinated and have a valid vaccination certificate at least 10 days prior to arrival. We advise that you seek medical advice on how to go about obtaining this vaccination and certification from your chosen medical doctor. However, if you’re a US passport holder (or on the list of exempt countries), and don’t fall within these categories you may choose to opt out of this at your own discretion.

Mandatory Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance is mandatory for trips with Enroute54. Travelers will need to purchase appropriate travel insurance cover before traveling to South Africa. Please ensure that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance which will cover all overseas medical costs, including medical repatriation/evacuation, etc., and also cover the full cost of your trip, flights and any overstay/additional expense due to incident or illness, etc. that may arise.

Processing Fees : When proceeding to payment for this trip, please expect to see a participant card processing fee if you choose to pay by credit or debit card. 

Create an account to manage your package: When checking out, you should check the box next to "Create an account to manage your booking online." This will allow you to edit, adjust your trip, and select add-ons at a later date.

Booking Transfers: A Traveller may request to transfer their confirmed booking to another eligible individual, subject to Enroute54's prior written approval. All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to Enroute54 at info@enroute54.com by the original Traveller no later than Twenty Eight (28) days before departure (or such other deadline specified by Enroute54), with full details of the proposed Replacement Traveller and any documentation reasonably requested by Enroute54. The Replacement Traveller must complete all required booking documentation and travel forms, and accept Enroute54's Booking Terms and Conditions. Any transfer fees, supplier charges, fare differences, or additional costs arising from the transfer shall be borne by the Traveller. Enroute54 reserves the right to refuse any transfer where supplier restrictions, operational requirements, or other reasonable circumstances prevent the transfer.

Changes, Refund & Cancellation Terms: Once your booking is confirmed, any requested changes must be submitted in writing and may be subject to administrative fees and any additional charges imposed by suppliers. The first deposit made is non-refundable. Cancellations made more than four (4) weeks before the trip start date will incur a fee of 50% of instalments paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit). Cancellations made within four (4) weeks of the trip start date will incur a 100% cancellation fee. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@enroute54.com and will only take effect once acknowledged by Enroute54. Any applicable refunds remain subject to supplier terms, foreign exchange fluctuations and payment processing fees.
